About Me
Finding My Rhythm Between the Hive and the Trail

Beekeeping has been part of my life since my teenage years, when I helped my father with his hives. Today I care for sixteen colonies, and in their world I keep finding peace, wisdom, and order. Whether I’m observing a hive or running up a mountain path, I feel the same connection — to nature, to breath, to life itself. The Running Beekeeper is my way of sharing that connection with others.

I’m Martin — a beekeeper, runner, father, and partner. I live in a small village above the valley where the Krka River begins, surrounded by forests, trails, and the gentle hum of bees. By education I’m a forester, by profession I lead marketing and IT, and at heart I’m someone seeking balance between movement and stillness.
Running means freedom to me. I started when I no longer had time or motivation for other sports — and now I can hardly imagine a day without it. I love running alone on forest paths, where thoughts settle, and breathing finds its rhythm. Running teaches me patience and consistency — that it’s not perfection that matters most, but what you do regularly, with joy.
